The HMS Revenge was built in the shipyards of Deptford, 1577. It was unique in that it had a lower ratio between the length and breadth of the ship, so artillery stability was much better. Under the command of Sir Francis Drake, HMS Revenge took part in several battles and was eventually captured in 1590.<\/p>\n
