Cruise Ships
Kits for liners and cruise vessels, Titanic among the most requested, giving you the hull, superstructure and fittings to build a passenger ship yourself. Suits modellers who prefer twentieth century subjects to sailing ships.
Liner kits are a different discipline to sailing ship kits. There is little or no rigging, but a great deal of repetitive detail: rows of portholes and windows, lifeboats and davits, railings, deck furniture, funnels and ventilators.
What decides the result
Patience and consistency, more than planking skill. A liner with uneven lifeboat spacing or a wavy waterline reads as wrong from across the room no matter how good the hull underneath is. Allow real time for masking and paint preparation, because the crisp division between hull colour, boot topping and antifouling does more for the finished model than any added detail.
Construction
Depending on the kit, hulls may be plank on bulkhead in timber, solid, or moulded, with superstructure built up from laser cut or pre-formed components. Detail is supplied in cast metal, printed parts or photo etch, and some kits include printed sheets or decals for livery and funnel markings.
Before you order
Check the finished length. Liner kits build into long models that need genuine shelf space, and a display case adds a few centimetres on every side. Paints, primers and masking materials and adhesives are bought separately.

Common questions
Do you sell a wooden Titanic kit?
Titanic is our most requested liner subject and appears from more than one manufacturer. Check current listings for size and difficulty grade.
Are liner kits good for beginners?
They suit patient beginners better than impatient experienced builders. There is little difficult construction, but a lot of repetition.
Do I need an airbrush?
No, but a liner hull is where one earns its keep, because large flat areas show brush marks more than a planked sailing hull does.
