With a dedicated team of over 20 staff members, supported by our UK office and an international network of offices and agents, we are able to provide knowledgeable and responsive support to customers around the world. Our presence across different locations and time zones means that customers can speak to a member of our team when they need us, while still receiving the personal attention and care of a specialist company.

With more than 25 years of product research and development, we continually refine our models in response to customer feedback and the changing requirements of the maritime industry. This ongoing process allows us to improve both design and quality while ensuring our collections remain accurate and relevant.

Our traditional ship models are handmade using plank-on-frame construction, a time-honoured method that provides a strong foundation for highly detailed and authentic replicas. Where appropriate, we use quality timbers such as teak and sapele. For modern sailing ships, motor yachts and technically complex vessels, we also incorporate computer technology and use a combination of Laser and 3D printing and CNC which allows us to achieve even greater precision and accuracy.

We are continually refining our manufacturing process over the last 25 years, and have developed our own unique custom build process. Quality is carefully monitored throughout production. We work with a select network of manufacturing partners and actively vet our products to ensure they meet our standards before reaching customers. Each model is reviewed under the oversight of our Production Director who holds a MSc in Engineering specialising in ship design, with customer feedback helping us continually identify opportunities for improvement.

We offer a professional bespoke service backed by a unique custom build process which gives our clients total confidence in choosing Premier Ship Models over our competitors. We work together with our customers to produce a Model Maker's Brief (MMB) which provides a "blueprint" of the required model. We also provide clients professional photographs at set stages during the build process.

Our diversified supply chain for custom models is unique to Premier Ship Models. Whilst we have our own workshop, we also work with carefully vetted partner workshops globally in order to give clients the best possible combination of service, quality, delivery time and price. In other words, we do the work of finding the best workshop to deliver your project.
