Luxury small-ship cruise line Windstar Cruises has announced nearly 30 new voyages for 2026, expanding its global itineraries and giving travelers more opportunities to explore iconic destinations and hidden ports around the world.
The newly revealed sailings span regions including Europe, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the South Pacific, with select voyages available through March 2027. The announcement also extends the company’s popular Wave Season promotion, available for bookings made through March 31, 2026, which offers additional travel perks for guests.
Expanded Global Itineraries
Windstar’s fleet of small yachts—carrying between 148 and 342 guests—allows travelers to access smaller harbors and scenic waterways that are often inaccessible to larger cruise ships. This intimate cruising style provides a more immersive experience in each destination.
Among the highlights of the new voyages are sailings timed for special seasonal events and unique destinations, including:
- Tulip Season in Holland & Belgium – A seven-night sailing aboard Star Pride during the famous bloom season at Keukenhof Gardens, with stops in Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Bruges.
- Bella Italia – A Southern Italian Romance – An eight-night journey from Rome to Venice, exploring southern Italian regions such as Calabria and Puglia.
- Classic Italy & Dalmatian Coast – A Venice-to-Rome voyage featuring stops in historic ports like Dubrovnik and the stunning Bay of Kotor.
- Far Flung French Polynesia & Marquesas Magic – An 11-night South Pacific adventure including remote island destinations such as Bora Bora and Fakarava.
- Spanish Mystery Cruise – A unique sailing where destinations remain a surprise until 36 hours before arrival, adding an element of excitement for guests.
Wave Season Promotion Benefits
The new voyages are part of Windstar’s “Beyond Inclusive” Wave Season promotion, which provides several perks for travelers booking eligible sailings.
Key benefits include:
- Complimentary all-inclusive upgrade covering select beverages, Wi-Fi, and gratuities
- A pre-cruise hotel stay with transfers to the yacht (where available)
- Up to $1,000 onboard credit per guest on select itineraries
According to Janet Bava, Chief Commercial Officer at Windstar Cruises, the company designed these voyages to help travelers experience destinations more closely and authentically.
She noted that sailing on small yachts allows guests to explore unique locations—such as entering Venice’s lagoon, anchoring near quiet Greek islands, or visiting lesser-known Mediterranean harbors.
New Shorter “Quick Getaways”
In response to rising demand for shorter vacations, Windstar is also introducing a series of “Quick Getaways.” These shorter itineraries focus on immersive regional experiences while fitting into tighter travel schedules.
Examples include:
- La Dolce Vita in Italy & France – A Rome roundtrip featuring Riviera destinations
- A Taste of Southern France – A Mediterranean escape departing from Barcelona
- Belgium: A Sweet Getaway – A short Northern European voyage highlighting the country’s culinary traditions
